The teacher post four possible answers to a question one in each corner of the room. The responses are as follows: strongly agree, agree, strongly disagree, and disagree. The teacher then asks and open-ended question, and the students go to the corner with the response that they think is correct. There is usually more than one student that has chosen the same answer. Once at their specific corner, students discuss their reasoning for having chosen the response that they did. The discussion can last from 2-10 minutes depending on the timeframe of the lesson. The teacher then goes around the class, and each group discusses by they chose the response that they did. This strategy is great for student reflection and to gather an understanding on what the student has learned.
