Motivation
Keeping students motivated requires certain concepts, skills, tactics and strategies. No matter what we do, they will not be interested in what we want them to be interested in if they find it meaningless, not interesting, or if they experience little or no success.
Unless students attribute their success and failure to their own efforts, the long-term transfer of motivation to learn will not occur.
Motivation should come through the students perspective.
Motivation Characteristics: Success; Concern (accountability/visibility/consequences/time/help); Meaning; Positive Feeling Tone; Interest; Knowledge of Results.
